Hoping For A New Beginningby ~Kad-Linn

_{Chalk Outline -by Three Days Grace}

I drew this in school just the other day...
An example to how dark this is to me. And and to show how my art isn't always like it used to be. It had changed in both a good way and a bad way.

The scar on my face? Yea... That happened a few days ago. My cat, Lena clawed my face at night. The lower part of it is pretty deep, but it's slowly healing. There will be a scar to remain.

Anyways. I finished this at school today.
I'm in my school uniform is this drawing. I added the red blood splatters out of nowhere.
So yea, another traditional graphite piece. But I guess this looked alright enough to post.

I hope you all like it though.

I am hoping for a new beginning. A better one, that is.

You sound so much like I did when I was your age. A good kid, poetic, creative, melancholy. I think you are Genuine and vulnerable but a dim outlook is like a tiny sliver in your eye that quietly weeps and blurs your vision. Your art comes from a part of you that is trying to rescue you.
This moment is your new beginning. 'Hoping' means this beginning is going to look like the rest of your life already has. Your memories of your life up to this point is not what happened. It is your perception of what happened. Choose the new beginning. Choose better memories. Look at the ones that weren't so fun objectively. Now look at self pity square in the eye. Be honest with any agreements you have made with this monster. Don't let it sap you.
A victim outlook will sap your life force like a vampire. It's powerful that you are drawing these things you feel. But you still have to rise up. You are an artist because you are an Overcomer. Overcomers have something to say. Wings to your soul, my fellow artist.

I have to say though. It has been rough for me, and my family. Very difficult indeed.
I do choose better memories.
